Revelation 2:24-25
"Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. "But hold fast what you have till I come...

Jesus speaks to the church of Thyatira in the book of Revelation. Of the seven churches referenced in Revelation, Jesus has more to say about this church than the others. Jesus commended this small congregation for their love, service, and their works, however, there were serious concerns.
Even though Thyatira was a small congregation, they had a lot of problems. False teachings were being allowed in the church which led some people into sexual immorality and observances to pagan gods. Jesus made it clear that judgement would come unless they repented.
What happened in Thyatira can happen to anyone. We choose what we allow or don't allow in our life. If we are not careful we can become corrupted by false teachings through humanism, liberal ideology, and popular culture which has a strong pull and can be enticing at times. When we allow ungodliness to infiltrate, we corrupt our spiritual life. Our view of God and His Word becomes tainted by those things that we have allowed.
Jesus told the faithful Christians in Thyatira to hold on to what they have until He comes. CFC Church, hold on to the truth that you have received. Don't compromise the truth. There is still only "one Lord, one faith and one baptism." How we live our life still matters to God.
